A closely-contested fourth-place finish at the San Marino GP has Moto3 contender Joel Kelso setting his sights on race wins to close out the 2025 championship, with six rounds remaining this year.

The LevelUp-MTA rider had experienced a challenging run after fracturing his right foot during free practice in Czechia, finishing outside of the top-five in the three outings that followed.

With Misano’s result somewhat bittersweet – finishing just 0.164s from P1 at the chequered flag – the 22-year-old has declared that race wins are the target across the final stretch of the season.

“I tried until the very end, I knew the podium was within reach,” Kelso recalled. “The bike was really perfect, and that allowed me to stay at the front for the whole race.

“Of course, it hurts to finish fourth by such a small margin, but the feeling is that we are really becoming competitive again. I want to fight for victories in the upcoming races.”

The Queenslander has achieved three podium finishes over the Moto3 World Championship and sits sixth overall, with his future recently secured for another two years in the division as he shifts to the GRYD MLav Racing Team onboard Honda machinery.
