Milwaukee Yamaha’s Josh Waters is targeting a competitive showing in Scotland this weekend as the British Superbike Championship (BSB) resumes at the Knockhill circuit after a long break.

Waters had the opportunity to ride the circuit on a 600cc machine recently and feels some similar characteristics to Australian layouts will only aid him in his goal of further top 10 finishes.

“I was lucky enough to be able to ride Knockhill during the break on a Yamaha R6 with Niall Mackenzie so at least I know where I am going!” said Waters.

“The Superbike will obviously be different, but I am really looking forward to getting back out on the Milwaukee Yamaha.

“I think Knockhill has some similar characteristics to the tracks back home so hopefully we can improve on what we have done so far this season.”

Round four of the series will be an important one for Waters as he looks to put together solid performances in qualifying and the feature races.

The reigning Australian Superbike Champion has endured a trying start to his maiden BSB season but is showing strong signs of improvement as his time on the Yamaha R1 increases.

He sits 17th on the standings following three rounds, with 17 points to his name.
