Eurosport Events has launched a special Anthony Delhalle EWC Spirit Trophy in honour of fallen World Endurance champion Anthony Delhalle, who was tragically killed during testing this month.

The Anthony Delhalle EWC Spirit Trophy will go to any team or rider that does ‘something remarkable’ during each round of the series. It’s intended to keep the sporting spirit and character of Desalle alive in the series.

The trophy will be awarded for the first time – by Anthony’s wife Jessie Delhalle – at the upcoming Le Mans 24 Hours in France on 15-16 April, which marks round two of the 2016-2017 Endurance World Championship.

Delhalle’s dominant Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) recently announced that experience Australian Alex Cudlin will stand-in alongside defending champions Vincent Philippe and Etienne Masson on-board the official GSX-R1000.
