The fourth generation CBR600RR is a gift for riders that like to stand out, leaving an electric trail on both the track and the streets, and is now available in an exhilarating new graphite black/bright lime green metallic colour.

One of Honda’s most popular sports bikes, the CBR600s design takes full advantage of Honda’s MotoGP machine design, as well as the award winning CBR1000RR Fireblade.

The searing speed of the bike has been proven time after time on the racetrack, most recently by riders Kenan Sofuoglu, Andrew Pitt and Anthony West who used it to secure an all Honda podium finish at round one of the World Supersport Championships at Phillip Island.

The 2009 CBR600RR is a smaller, lighter and more powerful machine with a class-leading power-to-weight ratio and unparalleled performance, perfect for riders who want a more compact ride without compromising on power.

Improvements to the piston, cylinder head and muffler have been made to increase the torque delivery in the range of revs between 8000-12000 rpm. This all-important extra “mid-range” gives improved drive out of corners both on track and on the road, increasing the flexibility of the motor and making the CBR600RR both faster and easier to ride.

Subtle but significant changes have also been made to the fairing to create a more effective airflow at medium and high speeds to improve stability and cornering.

The brake set-up features new and advanced radially mounted four piston monoblock calipers with 310mm front discs that give sensational stopping power and feel whilst reducing weight.

The 2009 CBR600RR retails for $15,990 and $16,990 for the e-CABS model. Available at Honda Dealers nationally, the bike comes in the new black and green scheme as well as Graphite Black/Italian Red and Graphite Black/Silver.
