Honda Australia is counting down to the launch of the all new CBR250R in March 2011.

Expectations are high that the Thailand produced, supersports-inspired model will offer an exciting new option for the entry level market as well as appealing to the experienced rider.

The CBR250R is uniquely designed around an all-new 249.4mm single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling, an efficient 4-valve DOHC cylinder head and PGM-FI fuel injection.

Honda’s passion is embodied in various aspects of this CBR such as its displacement, frame size, driving stability, and riding position.

These features were optimized for riders of all kinds, from beginners to experienced riders, so that they can feel the fun of manoeuvring, which is fundamental to motorcycle riding.

With cutting-edge design the CBR250R shows off originality that only Honda is capable of, incorporating a sporty form with a functional viewpoint. This distinctive model boasts ease of use with a comfortable riding position and excellent handling performance.

The single-cylinder configuration makes for a lighter, more compact and more fuel-efficient powerplant that also boasts a supremely usable torque curve. The CBR250R is sporty and eco-friendly at the same time, with a look ahead at the next generation.

As befits a machine with performance and versatility, the CBR250R uses a six-speed transmission to make light work of riding at any speed. The six ratios work with the bike’s power delivery to optimise acceleration and deliver both refinement and economy when cruising.

The whole CBR250R package is similarly balanced, combining satisfying performance with the kind of refinement and easygoing usability that make a difference on every ride.

The result is extraordinary – a truly versatile 250cc sportsbike with unrivalled fuel economy in its class.

Lightweight at just 162kg, the new bike’s manoeuvrability is further enhanced by its perfect chassis balance offering the agile handling for which Honda is world renowned.

The incorporation of Combined ABS is a world first for a 250cc-class road sports model and places the CBR250R at the forefront of safety technology.

The adoption of an electronically controlled fuel injection system (PGM-FI) and an O2 sensor meet the Euro 3 emission standards.

With the power to carry two people effortlessly, the CBR250R can be enjoyed by people young and old; beginner to experienced.

Honda will release the CBR250R in March 2011 at a very competitive price with colour options including Asteroid Black Metallic, Tri Colour and Red.
