The Paul Feeney Group has received its first allocation of the new generation 2011 Husqvarna SMR 511 supermotard. The bike is completely revolutionary and follows the same design principles as the 2011 TE 449/511.

The primary concept behind the SMR 511 range is the ‘mass centralisation’ theme that relocates the components such as the engine and fuel tanks to a revised position, offering a lower centre of gravity and providing a chassis that adapts perfectly to the demands of both road and racing environments.

Another key concept is the CTS (Coaxial Traction System) that has virtually eliminated chain torque effect, allowing the suspension to operate unhindered through its full range of motion providing outstanding traction and performance on all surfaces.

The SMR 511 is equipped with the latest evolution 4 valve dual camshaft engine which has been significantly improved thanks to the experience gained by Husqvarna in its many years of Supermotard racing. The revised location of the engine offers a lengthened straighter intake tract to enhance performance

Fuel delivery is managed by an electronic injection system with a Keihin 46 mm diameter, double flap throttle body which provides progressive and predictable throttle response.

Given the improved engine and chassis performance on offer, the SMR 511 is equipped with the high performance Brembo front brake incorporating a larger fluid capacity remote reservoir and master cylinder in conjunction with the four piston calliper and massive 240 mm wave style disc to offer outstanding braking performance.

The Marzocchi 50mm USD forks offer 250mm of travel with adjustable compression and rebound damping. The rear shock-absorber is a new Sachs unit with adjustable pre load, rebound and compression damping.

The tapered handlebars, compact and comprehensive instrumentation display, impact resistant thermo-plastic engine and chassis protection, LED rear light and restyled-shorter front mudguard complete the list of standard equipment.

The 2011 SMR 511 is also offered in a LAMS (Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme) compliant form.

The wide range of special accessory parts available offer the customer the option to enhance and personalize their purchase.

The Husqvarna SMR 511 is priced at $12.995.00 incl. GST plus dealer delivery and statutory charges and is available now through the Australian Husqvarna dealer network.
