Red Bull KTM Ajo have confirmed the official signing of Aussie Jack Miller for their 2014 Moto3 title campaign, with team manager Aki Ajo describing the teenager as one of the world championship’s “biggest talents for the future”.

As reported by CycleOnline at the beginning of the month, Miller caught the eye of the current points-leading outfit through his gritty and relentless rides in the early stages of the season.

The team confirmed the prize signing on the eve of the San Marino Grand Prix, with team manager Ajo “very happy” to secure Miller’s sought-after services.

“We know how important it is to maintain our focus on the fight for the 2013 Moto3 title, but obviously at this stage of the season it is normal to be preparing things for the next campaign,” said Ajo.

“We are very happy to have signed Jack Miller to ride for us next season. I think that everyone has seen that he is one of the biggest talents for the future in the World Championship.

“We are very proud to have Jack as one of Red Bull KTM Ajo’s riders for 2014.”

Miller, who will contest his third full world championship campaign in 2014, felt the move would put him in solid stead for challenge for the title.

“I am very happy to have signed for what is, in my opinion, the best team in Moto3: Red Bull KTM Ajo,” said Miller. “Joining this team will give me the opportunity to fight for the Moto3 title next season.

“I can’t wait to get started with this new adventure in my sporting career, and I am sure that there will be a good relationship developed with my new team – one which already exists.”

The Townsville-born rider produced another stellar performance in yesterday’s Moto3 race to lock down fifth place, his best finish for the year.
