Arthur Sissis has confirmed his place on the 2014 Moto3 World Championship grid.

South Australian Arthur Sissis will remain in the Moto3 World Championship in 2013, officially signing for the Mahindra Racing outfit.

Sissis, 18, has spent two seasons in Moto3 with Red Bull KTM Ajo, but struggled on his way to 15th in the 2013 standings – three positions lower than his rookie campaign last year.

“I’m really happy to join Mahindra – it’s a very good team and great to be riding for an Indian manufacturer,” Sissis said. “I’ve spoken to the guys and like them a lot.

“It’s a good time for me to change bikes, and I think I can do well. Miguel [Oliveira] has shown the Mahindra can be on the podium and it’s always up near the front.

“When I’ve been close to it I can see it’s fast, so I’m really excited.”

Oliveira will remain at Mahindra in 2014 alongside Sissis, delivering the team a podium at Sepang on his way to sixth in the championship.

“Mahindra Racing has been keeping a close eye on a number of young riders since we started our journey in the world of MotoGP,” said Mahindra Racing CEO Mufaddal Choonia.

“Australia has produced many fine two-wheeled champions over the years and we feel that Arthur has real potential. We have shown the MGP3O is a very competitive package so he should have a great opportunity to fulfil that potential with Mahindra.”

It was previously confirmed that Queenslander Jack Miller will be heading to Sissis’ former Red Bull KTM Ajo team (click here for details) after finishing as top Honda in seventh this season.
