The Australian Superbike Championship will be essentially scaled back Prostock/Superstock specification in 2014, promoter International Entertainment Group (IEG) has confirmed upon release of the series’ Supplementary Regulations.

As predicted by CycleOnline.com.au earlier this month (click here for details), the premier class regulations have been further reduced since Motorcycling Australia’s (MA) initial reduction in December despite MA CEO David White firmly denying the report.

The final regulations will mirror ASBK Prostock regulations from last year, however aftermarket or modified cam wheels are now permitted. That is also an updated modification permitted in the Australasian Superbike Championship (ASC) for 2014.

In comparison to ASC regulations, the lone difference according to IEG managing director Yarrive Konsky is the allowance of an aftermarket wiring harness and manufacturer-nominated race kit or MA-approved ECU.
