Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman made a big comeback to the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship with a double victory in the season opener held at the Johor Circuit on 1-2 April.

The Malaysian rider followed up his commanding performance in race one, ultimately taking home the overall from Zaqhwan Zaidi and the consistent Tomoyoshi Koyama.

Australia’s Anthony West, fresh from podiums in World Supersport at Phillip Island and Australian Superbike at Wakefield Park, made his ARRC debut with seventh and eighth place results. Countryman Michael Blair went 17-15.

The ARRC series will continue on 7-18 May at Chang International Circuit in Thailand for round two of the high profile six-event series across Asia.
