Lorini Honda’s Glenn Scott is on the mend in Barcelona, Spain, after breaking his lower left leg at the MotorLand Aragon round of World Supersport last weekend and undergoing surgery.

The Australian, in his second season of WorldSSP, had scored points in the opening two rounds at Phillip Island and Chang, but missed Aragon following a fall in Free Practice 1.

“Sad to say I’ll be taking a small break from racing over the next few rounds,” Scott confirmed over the weekend. “FP1 today ended in a very bad way for me crashing on the entry to turn two and hitting a rider exiting pit lane.

“I have broken my tibia and fibula and will be heading into surgery on Monday here in Spain to get the leg bolted back together. A very special thank you to all the medical staff at Aragon and everyone at Clinica Mobile for their amazing work in giving me the best care possible.”

A timeframe of Scott’s racing return on board the CBR600RR within the Italian-run team has yet to be decided.
