Tibia and fibula injuries for multi-time world champion.
Multi-time world champion Valentino Rossi has suffered displaced fractures of the tibia and fibula of his right leg during an enduro training incident near his hometown in Italy on Thursday.
The Movistar Yamaha outfit released a brief announcement, revealing the 38-year-old had been admitted to the Ospedale Civile di Urbino hospital for further evaluation.
It’s not the first time Rossi has injured himself this season aboard an off-road bike, he was cleared of injury earlier this year after an initial scare.
Rossi, who just made his 300th grand start, currently sits fourth in champion standings, with the next stop on the MotoGP World Championship calendar scheduled for 8-10 September, as Misano in Italy.
