Sokol International Racetrack to feature in five-year deal.
Kazakhstan will host a round of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship, commencing a five-year deal that will see the series compete at the brand-new Sokol International Racetrack.
The country becomes the 30th to host a motorcycle Grand Prix since 1949, as Sokol – located just outside the nation’s largest city Almaty – marks the 74th venue to host a premier class GP.
Next season’s complete calendar has not yet been revealed, but the championship will commence at Portimao, Portugal, on 24-26 March and feature the introduction of sprint races at all GPs. The 22-rider premier class line-up has been confirmed for 2023 which boasts representation from seven countries and six manufacturers.
